Our Compounding team in Thetford is currently recruiting for a Senior Production Technician to join a new, purpose built department. This is an investment into innovative technology to semi-automate our compounding process to increase productivity, reduce elements of the strenuous nature of manual compounding and allow for additional growth to enable us to serve more patients products. In addition to the Technicians duties the Senior Technician is responsible for supporting the compounding operation which manufactures aseptically compounded products, following SOP’s, GMP, GDP and EH&S to ensure a high-quality product always. The ability to communicate and work as part of a cross-functional team is crucial.

You will work Monday – Friday rotating shifts of 06:00-14:00 and 13:00-21:00 however you will be required to work days during training so we do ask for some flexibility in the first few months. We offer a competitive salary and shift allowance as well as some fantastic benefits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. To perform manual and automated manufacturing processes in the EC Compounding area
2. To reconcile critical processes performed in the production areas
3. To report any equipment fault or area non-conformance immediately to senior level staff and to participate in non-conformance investigation as required.
4. To participate in training/mentoring of new staff and processes as required
5. To correct deviations from aseptic technique as taught or SOP within deviation level of responsibility and to report to the Team Leader group/Manager/Quality Assurance of any deviations from the process outside of responsibility.
6. To liaise with other Senior technicians to organize work flow as directed by the Team Leader Group to ensure efficient use of staff and time to ensure timely output of product
7. Labelling
8. Label all product types according to product specifications
9. Perform equipment checks
10. Dispensing
11. Manufacture all product types in accordance with SOPs
12. Validate aseptic technique
13. Maintain productivity and efficiency
14. Control isolator inventory
15. Sanitise equipment and components in accordance with SOPs
16. Complete routine equipment sampling, maintenance and testing
17. Report sanitisation deviations
18. Facility Monitoring
19. Clean and maintain all areas in accordance with SOPs
Experience required:
20. GCSE or equivalent in English & Mathematics
21. Aseptic technique knowledge would be preferred
22. Understanding of cleanroom requirements, behaviors and activities would be preferred
23. GMP knowledge is essential
24. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
25. High attention to detail
26. A sense of compassion and understanding of where our product is going (to patients in hospitals or in their homes)
