Looking for an exciting opportunity to develop your legal skills and work on a high-profile public inquiry? As an Assistant Solicitor, you will play a key role in supporting the Inquiry's legal team. You will be responsible for preparing working papers on lines of enquiry, working with other members of the Inquiry team and legal representatives of core participants to prepare witness statements, and liaising with Counsel on the progress of lines of enquiry and witness statements.
You will also be responsible for supporting Counsel and others at oral hearings, drafting and ensuring compliance with the Inquiry's procedure/protocol documents, and providing legal advice to the Chair and the Inquiry team.
You should have experience delivering demanding and/or complex legal projects in at least one of the following areas: commercial/contractual, legislative, litigation, or another relevant field.
This role offers a great opportunity to develop your skills and gain valuable insight into complex capital health projects. The successful candidate will be based in central Edinburgh, with occasional travel to Glasgow. While adopting a hybrid working approach, the post holder is expected to be in the office at least three days a week.
