Finance Royalties Analyst - 6 Month FTC - Likely to be Extended - Paying £38,000 - London Office - Hybrid Role
We are recruiting for an exciting Entertainment Providers Group who are seeking a Finance Royalties Assistant where you will focus on managing licensing deals and royalty reporting, ensuring that all royalty reports are received in a timely manner, that all key information is logged on the in-house Royalty system, any royalties income due is received in a quick and efficient manner, royalties payable are accounted for correctly.
This position combines financial accounting (sales and purchase ledger) with understanding of rights and contracts.
Responsibilities:
* Processing royalties statements onto the Royalties management system and ensuring advances and overages are accounted for correctly
* Track the timely submission of periodic reports and liaise with external contacts to request missing reports
* Identify and flagging discrepancies to fix errors
* Track and processing payments due to writers and third parties for agency clients (Rights People subdivision)
* Issuing Sales & Purchase invoices (when dealing with agency clients)
* Inputting publishers & writers agreement details, with special regard to advances and royalty rates
* Knowledge on Royalties principal contracts
* Liaising with the Finance Department as necessary
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience in royalties
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP/PivotTables etc.)
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate at all levels
* Dynamic and driven to grow with the group
* Excellent organisational, communication and prioritisation skills
* Ability to process incoming royalty statements speedily and accurately
* Preferred system experience: Sage 200/AIQ and That's Right
