Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality teaching and support to students with a range of special educational needs, including ADHD, non-verbal and verbal communication, personal care, and physical/sensory disabilities.
Work primarily with secondary-aged students (ages 11-19), though there will also be some students between 4-19 years old.
Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet the individual needs of each student.
Ensure that students receive appropriate support for personal care and assist with any physical or sensory needs they may have.
Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and progress.
Requirements:
Fully qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications.
Experience working with students with a range of SEN, including ADHD, non-verbal communication, personal care, and physical/sensory disabilities.
Serious and long-term commitment to the role, as we are seeking someone who is prepared to stay in the position due to the severity of the students' needs.
Full-time availability (5 days per week) for the duration of the maternity cover.
The school is located in a central area with no parking available, so the ideal candidate will live locally or be willing to commute via public transport.
