1. Role Purpose
This role will lead structured stakeholder advocacy, engagement, survey insight, and educational outreach activities for a nationally significant digital transparency platform.
Operating during Public Beta and scaling phases, the role ensures:
• Stakeholder confidence remains strong
• Industry concerns are captured and addressed constructively
• Adoption accelerates through education and dialogue
• Survey insight directly informs delivery prioritisation
• The platform’s narrative is collaborative, not reactive
This is not a marketing or PR role.
It is a strategic ecosystem stewardship position operating at the intersection of:
• Government sponsors
• Regulators
• Trade associations
• Large enterprise networks

Requirements
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Industry Advocacy & Relationship Management
• Act as visible engagement lead for industry stakeholders
• Build constructive relationships with trade associations and network operators
• Facilitate structured roundtables and feedback sessions
• Represent the service in industry forums and panels
• Translate technical roadmap updates into accessible language
• Address perception risks through proactive engagement
B. API Advocacy & Technical Enablement
• Deliver live API demos (Postman / scripts / SDK examples)
• Build example integrations and code snippets
• Develop sample payload templates
• Create sandbox walkthrough materials
• Explain validation rules and error codes
• Provide integration troubleshooting guidance
• Liaise directly with engineering teams on recurring issues
• Identify friction points in the API lifecycle
C. Survey & Insight Programme Ownership
• Design and run quarterly industry sentiment surveys
• Conduct post-onboarding and integration feedback surveys
• Develop API usability surveys
• Analyse qualitative and quantitative results
• Produce insight dashboards and executive summaries
• Present findings to sponsors and delivery teams
• Translate feedback into structured improvement themes
Ensure all survey activity is methodologically sound and defensible.
D. Webinar & Education Programme
• Develop and run monthly webinar series
• Host API deep-dive sessions
• Facilitate “Common Errors & Best Practice” clinics
• Deliver integration guidance workshops
• Moderate Q&A sessions confidently
• Create structured follow-up artefacts and FAQs
Webinars must reduce support load, improve compliance, and accelerate adoption.
E. Confidence & Narrative Management
• Shape and maintain a consistent Public Beta narrative
• Provide structured responses to recurring stakeholder concerns
• Collaborate with Service Lead on sponsor messaging
• Develop insight-led confidence metrics
• Ensure engagement activity aligns with regulatory expectations
F. Internal Alignment & Delivery Feedback Loop
• Work closely with:
o Data & Insights Lead
o Technical Operations Lead
o Retailer Enablement Lead
o Programme Leadership
• Ensure stakeholder insight influences sprint planning
• Track recurring issue themes
• Identify perception risks early
3. Experience & Background Required
Essential:
• 8+ years experience in stakeholder engagement, ecosystem management, or industry advocacy
• Experience operating within regulated or public sector environments
• Experience in Developer Advocate / Solutions Engineer role
• Demonstrated experience designing and running structured surveys
• Proven experience hosting and moderating webinars (50–200+ attendees)
• Strong written communication capability (policy-grade clarity)
• Comfortable explaining technical platforms at a functional level
• Experience managing complex stakeholder dynamics
• Experience in energy, utilities, health, or regulated retail sectors
• Experience working on national digital infrastructure platforms
• Strong REST API understanding
• Experience with OAuth / authentication flows
• Hands-on Postman usage
• Experience in Public Beta / digital service lifecycle phases
• Familiarity with Government Digital Service standards
