What you need to know
Hours : Contracts range from 12 hours to 22.5 hours per work. A range of shift patterns are available, with Saturday working included within all shifts between 10am to 5pm. Weekday shifts may be daytime of evening.

Pay details: The listed salary is for a full-time role. If you’re applying for a part-time or bank job, we will calculate your pay on a pro-rata basis. The hourly rate is £13.89 per hour.
Location:
* City-wide, with your main base discussed at interview.
What you’ll do
As a Glasgow Life Assistant (Libraries), you’ll be a part of a frontline library operational team, reporting to the Community Services Supervisor. You’ll play an essential role in providing a frontline service and by delivering programmes to a range of audiences within the library. Your work will make a visible and lasting difference. This could be:
* Supporting our communities
* Helping people get active
* Creating cultural experiences
* Or working behind the scenes to make it all happen
Who you are

We’re looking for:
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to engage with and inspire a range of different audiences including children, young people & families.
* Ability to work as part of a team, but also work to own initiative.
* Proficient literacy and numeracy skills
* Good customer service skills
* Ability to work on a flexible pattern of hours including weekend and evenings
* Aptitude to work with children and young people
* Be able to work in locations across the city
