Field Service Engineer Oxford/Reading
Job Description
The purpose of this role is to support the technical needs of Philips Imaging customers and customer service partners. The position involves working both independently and as part of a team to install, maintain, and repair advanced imaging equipment.
This position will be field-based, located in Oxford or Reading area.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice and solutions to customers and colleagues at an advanced technical level.
* Offer field-based and remote technical support in line with training and experience.
* Perform corrective, preventative, installation, and field change activities on healthcare systems.
* Diagnose mechanical, hardware, and software failures using established procedures.
* Determine cost-effective repairs to minimize customer downtime.
* Participate in an ongoing rotation providing remote support to customers.
Team and Reporting
You will be part of a regional team of Field Service Engineers, working to high standards to ensure excellent service and compliance with Quality & Regulatory standards. You will report directly to the District Service Delivery Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
* HNC (preferably NVQ Level 3) or Degree in Electro-engineering or equivalent.
* Logical problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
* Experience with corrective and preventative maintenance of Imaging Systems is desirable.
* Knowledge across multi-modality and diverse product ranges.
* Ability to recognize new technologies and adapt to challenges.
* High customer service orientation.
* IT/Network diagnosis and system connectivity skills are desirable.
* Current residence in Oxford or Reading area.
