A bit about what you will do...
The Accounts Payable Supervisor will fully support all areas of finance
including Purchase Ledger, F&B Cost Controls and Accounts Payable for Gatwick
Cluster
* Reconcile, record and process all supplier
invoices in a timely manner.
* Ensure all invoices are supported by a valid
purchase order and signed goods received note.
* Review commission invoices in the system and
obtain the necessary approvals before processing.
* Manage and reconcile hotel floats, including
conducting ad-hoc spot checks to ensure compliance.
* Process all petty cash claims in line with
company policy.
* Prepare and submit payment runs for Gatwick
hotels in accordance with the Head Office timetable.
* Prepare month-end unbilled accruals and ensure
correct cost coding, accruals and prepayments.
* Conduct weekly supplier ageing reviews and
complete monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
* Complete BACS requests and supplier set-ups,
liaising with Head Office and Heads of Department as required.
* Provide support
across sites (including Sofitel and Arora Crawley), supervise the AP Assistant,
and assist with ad hoc duties as requested by the Assistant Financial Controller or DOF

* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills with a high standard of written and spoken English.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Most of all, you have an approachable, positive, and proactive manner.
* Experience in a similar role within a 4-star hotel is a significant advantage.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required.
