Tax ManagerYou will work on a diverse portfolio of clients which will include high net worth individuals, family businesses, SMEs and large corporates, business owners, and managers and partners in professional services firms. You will develop trusted relationships with our clients, with a view to providing the best possible service supported by your high-level technical knowledge.You will work on tax advice reports in a range of areas including Corporation Tax, CGT, Ie Tax, VAT and IHT, embedded capital allowances claims, land remediation relief claims, EIS/SEIS applications and share scheme projects.
You will understand the importance of strong client relationships and providing a proactive service.Client responsibilities
1. Toplete chargeable client work of a technical orplex nature including:
2. Tax advisory reports, covering a wide variety of tax specific topics
3. IHTputations
4. EIS/SEIS applications
5. Share restructuring projects
6. Share scheme implementations
7. Client exit strategies
8. Embedded Capital Allowance claims
9. Land Remediation Relief claims
10. Personal tax reviews
11. Assist team members with research into other technical areas.
12. Identify tax planning opportunities within individual and corporate client portfolio.
13. Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
14. Deal with HMRC enquiries into personal and corporate tax returns.
Team responsibilities
15. Work with junior members of the team to provide technical support.
16. Maintaining the quality and standard of the tax services provided by reviewing work of team members.
17. Assist in the motivation of the team towards thepany goals and objectives.
Sales and Marketing
18. Attend sales meetings to support the Sales Team from a technical perspective.
19. Contribute to the Tax Team’s marketing requirements by producing blogs and webinars for use by existing clients and external networks.
20. Working with Pod Leaders etc. to improve identification of cross-selling opportunities.
21. Develop an external network of connections from other professional services (such as solicitors and property specialists).
22. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidence in our services atpany events.
Technology
23. Fully utilise the CRM and AP systems, recording interactions with clients so that they are visible across the organisation, adding to our central point of understanding of the client experience.
Individual requirements
24. Strong attention to detail, to enable you to reviewplex technical information whilst maintaining an overall strategic and customer service focused perspective, for all deliverables we produce for our clients.
25. Relevant professional qualification, for example CTA and/or, ACCA, ACA, CA.
26. High level of tax technical knowledge of the UK tax system.
27. Proven experience in client handling and managing a busy portfolio.
28. Perceives the needs and concerns of clients and adapts approach to meet these needs.
29. Excellentmunication skills in a range of situations both written and oral.
30. Demonstrates an understanding of wider business and economic issues.
