We are seeking a Principal Intelligent Client Officer with expertise in capital projects and programmes, including new build and refurbishment of public buildings, to join our Property Commissioning team based in Matlock, Derbyshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of Corporate Property, acting as the intelligent client and trusted property expert on behalf of both departmental service areas and Corporate Property.
The Role
As Principal Intelligent Client Officer, you will provide technical and design leadership, advising on project planning and procurement options and ensuring that projects are clearly defined, well‑briefed and effectively delivered.
You will act as the client’s representative throughout the lifecycle of feasibility and design projects, working closely with stakeholders and monitoring delivery by external design teams. Design and project management services will be provided by the joint venture partner.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced project manager, architect or surveyor with hands‑on experience of running capital projects.
What You Will Do
* Represent and support the client in the briefing and strategic planning of feasibility and design projects
* Monitor and oversee project delivery by external design teams
* Track, review and report project outcomes to ensure objectives are met
* Support client departments to develop effective strategies for the development and planned maintenance of retained assets
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop robust project briefs that address both building requirements and professional services
You Will Have the Ability To
* Assess fee proposals and schedules of services
* Provide advice on design and specification requirements
* Review and assess whether proposals meet the agreed project brief
