We are recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Engineer to join a well-established aerospace company based in Poole, Dorset. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable organization that specializes in precision engineering for the aerospace industry.
Salary: £14.00 - £16.50 per hour (depending on experience and skills)
Hours: Flexible start times (7:00 AM or 8:00 AM) with corresponding finish times (4:00 PM or 5:00 PM). Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week basic, with options to condense hours into fewer days.

Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Assembly Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
* Performing sub-assembly of machined components to meet aerospace standards and requirements.
* Tasks such as:
* Staking bearings.
* Installing Heli-Coils.
* Valve assembly.
* Beading using sealants (e.g., PR1770).
* Conducting self-inspection and testing of finished products to ensure quality and compliance.
* Reading and interpreting 2D drawings and assembly instructions/techniques.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Proven experience in mechanical assembly, ideally within the aerospace or precision engineering sector.
* Familiarity with aerospace standards and requirements.
* Ability to read and understand 2D engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
* Experience in pressure testing (advantageous but not essential).
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Day-to-Day
Your typical day will involve:
* Collaborating with a skilled team to assemble high-precision aerospace components.
* Utilizing your technical expertise to ensure all assemblies meet stringent quality standards.
* Performing self-inspections and testing to verify the functionality and reliability of finished products.
* Working with a variety of tools, materials, and techniques to complete assemblies efficiently and accurately.
* Maintaining a clean and organized workspace to uphold safety and productivity.
