Business Development Manager (Defence)

Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience) – plus a company vehicle/car allowance

About the role
We are currently looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Business Development Manager to establish the HOCHTIEF brand across the UK Defence Infrastructure and associated Construction Market Sectors.
You will be required to establish and maintain regular dialogue with new and existing customers and identify assess and cultivate new client leads/opportunities that fit with the overall business strategy and market sectors to enable the company to grow in line with the business plan.
The role requires you to attend sector pipeline meetings; ensure preparedness to discuss current and future opportunities and maintain industry and competitor intelligence, recording in Salesforce or other database.
Please note that this role will be office based 5 days per week until successful completion of your probationary period where you can then apply to work from home 1 day per week.
About you
It is essential for this role that you have career experience, minimum of 5 years, in the UK defence sector (Regular or Reserve Armed Forces service or defence-facing career experience from relevant UK Government department, office or public body).
You will have knowledge of the UK construction market and of relevant procurement legislation and MOD procurement processes.
Strong presentation and client communication skills are key for this client facing role.
