We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor for a temporary assignment covering a wide patch from Wolverhampton West through to Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on diverse projects within the military and defence sector, providing essential surveying services across a large geographical area.
Your new role
As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering a range of professional surveying duties, including but not limited to:
1. Conducting stock condition surveys (main focus of the role)
2. Carrying out pre-project surveys
3. Preparing specifications and offering technical support
4. Diagnosing building defects and undertaking building pathology
5. Ensuring quality control across all projects
This is a hybrid, remote role with travel across the designated patch. The initial contract is for 3 months, starting in January, with potential for extension and even a permanent opportunity.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have:
6. A degree or qualification in Building Surveying
7. Proven experience in stock condition surveys, ideally within housing associations or similar environments
8. Strong technical knowledge of building pathology and defect diagnosis
9. Excellentmunication and organisational skills
10. Ability to work independently and manage a large geographical patch
