(Flexible hours available covering 1, 2, 3 shifts working between 8 - 24hrs per month)
About The Service
We have positions in the following areas of Edinburgh - Leith, Tollcross, Pleasance and Bruntsfield. We support individuals who are homeless and most likely have experienced some level of trauma, exclusion, and stigma in their life.
About The Role
The role of the flexible support worker gives you an opportunity to work as little as 1 shift a month with the option to pick up additional hours to cover for annual leave and sickness.
As a service we provide emotional and practical support with a harm reduction ethos. You will offer support to individuals to develop and maintain independent living skills.
About You
You will;
1. Be person-centred with a commitment to a trauma-informed approach.
2. Be skilled in building trusting relationships.
3. Have a non-judgemental approach
4. Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post.
