Head of Products - Central Bristol (Hybrid, up to 50% remote)
Salary: circa £70,000 + bonus + excellent benefits

They are in the process of creating their data platform, Ecosurety Cortex. This platform will be the engine-room of their new digital products and tools and they are in the process of migrating current data tools and products to this new data platform.
Reporting into the CITO, the Head of Products will play a fundamental role in delivering digital products that support their external clients and internal teams. The role will be part of the wider Technology Team including Product, BI & Data Specialists, Cloud Architects, and the IT function.
They are seeking a hands on, talented and experienced Product Manager who can manage multiple stakeholders to deliver digital products. The role requires balancing the demands of: clients; operations; technology; and finance. The ideal candidate will have broad awareness in all four areas. Excellent project management skills are required along with commercial accumen.
Job Description
1. Product Development and Management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as finance, operations, technology, and members to:
o Ensure seamless introduction and management of the product roadmap.
o Facilitate the end-to-end product development process, ensuring timely and high-quality deliveries.
• Collate and track the total cost of ownership of a product.
• Understand and own the product lifecycle (inception to sunset)
• Manage the full lifecycle of the product
• Understand customer perception, risks and issues of the in life product. Propose and manage mitigation strategies for products across the product portfolio.
• Continuously assess product performance and implement necessary improvements.
• Product performance and KPIs – develop metrics that align the products to the business objectives.
• Understand any cyber issues and work with IT to assure that their products are cyber safe.
• Develop and maintain the framework that assesses features and their viability, taking into account the cost to deliver and return on investment as well as other factors such as contribution to brand value and maintaining a leading position in the market.
• Define and track key product metrics, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Develop a deep understanding of the markets, positioning, customer perception and financial models for each product in the product portfolio.
• Understand how to drive profitability whilst balancing customer need and market positioning
2. Responsible for Product Board
• Responsible for the presentation of 4 dimensions (clients, finance, technology and operations) of any product to the monthly product board. Accountability for each dimension rests with the lead in each of the area.
• Responsible for collating a clear monthly visual of the digital product roadmap, under direction of CTO.
• Support the CTO to develop and embed clear governance of the product board, digital product management and a clear project management framework.
• Accountable for the RAID log for the Product board and ensure actions are delivered on time and to the required quality.
• Accountable for providing updates to the Operational Board on progress at the Product Board, under direction of the CTO.
• Perform analysis of products and present options that increase revenue, increase market share, or improve our market perception.
3. Line-management of Product Team
• Lead and mentor any product managers, designers, or other key product-focused roles the company may employ. Presently one person.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the product team.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
• Communicate product strategy and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and other key stakeholders.
Person Specification
• An experienced product manager professional with 5+ years’ experience
• Recognised project management qualification
• A track record delivering digital products
• Strong background in digital technologies and cyber risks
• Ability to thrive in a complex, changing environment
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Proactively seeks to understand business context before presenting solutions.
• An understanding of the fundamentals of data analytics principles.

Package
• c£70,000 per year
• Permanent full-time contract (would consider part time for the right candidate)
