Job Opportunity: Retail Merchandiser
Salary: Up to £40,000

Our client, one of the largest manufacturers of cards and gifts worldwide, is seeking a Retail Merchandiser to manage key KPIs across planning, trading, and forecasting. In this role, you will contribute to profit plans and ensure stakeholders are well-informed. By leveraging customer data, you will identify opportunities to maximize profit potential across national accounts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and manage sales plans, customer budgets, and SKU-level decision-making.
2. Forecast performance at business, account, caption, and line levels.
3. Oversee stock allocation requirements to meet demand effectively.
4. Conduct top-line trading analysis to support planning and identify risks and opportunities.
5. Utilize data-driven insights to facilitate optimal range selection.
6. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure profitable and effective execution of activities.
7. Drive efficiencies and process improvements to enhance ways of working.
Candidate Profile
We seek a merchandising professional with strong retail, customer, and consumer knowledge, capable of making profitable and timely decisions. The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience in a merchandising or similar role within a retail or FMCG business.
* Strong Excel and analytical skills.
* Experience using Tableau (highly advantageous).
* A strategic mindset with the ability to analyze data and drive business decisions.
This role is also suitable for an established Assistant or Junior Merchandiser looking to advance their career.
