Laing O'Rourke is looking for a Head of Enterprise Architecture to shape and govern the future of our enterprise technology landscape across our Europe and Australia hubs.This role will define the architectural vision that supports our digital transformation, ensuring our platforms, data and infrastructure are modern, resilient and aligned with business priorities.Working closely with IT leadership and business stakeholders, you will provide the architectural guardrails that guide major technology investments and enable the organisation to simplify, modernise and scale its digital capabilities.What will the role look like?You will play a key role in:Defining and maintaining the enterprise architecture vision, principles and target-state blueprints across business, data, application, integration and technology domains.Establishing and leading architecture governance and design authority, ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements and strategic priorities.Shaping technology roadmaps and transformation programmes, supporting platform modernisation, application rationalisation and improved data foundations.Leading and developing the Solution Architecture community, ensuring consistent design quality and strong collaboration across delivery teams and IT functions.What skills & experience are we looking for?We are looking for an experienced technology leader who can provide strategic direction while enabling practical delivery across a complex enterprise environment.Ideally, you will bring:Extensive experience leading Enterprise Architecture within large or federated organisations, including establishing governance, principles and architectural frameworks.Strong expertise across enterprise architecture domains including business, data, applications, integration, infrastructure and cloud technologies.A proven track record of modernising legacy systems, rationalising application portfolios and simplifying complex technology landscapes.Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate architectural strategy clearly to senior leaders and guide investment decisions.About UsLaing O'Rourke are an international engineering and construction company delivering state-of-the-art infrastructure and buildings projects for clients in the UK, Middle East and Australia.Certainty, reliability, quality – this is what our clients want.
