Meat & Social is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to assist our kitchen operations at our Wembley Park location. This is an exciting opportunity to join a concept that celebrates premium meats, exceptional grilling techniques, and culinary craftsmanship. You'll work alongside our Head Chef and in-house Master Butcher, further developing your butchery skills while shaping a menu that reflects quality, creativity, and bold flavour.
Job Description:
The Chef de Partie at Meat & Social will take responsibility for running a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. The Chef de Partie will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering Meat & Social's meat-focused menu while maintaining high standards of food safety, teamwork, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Kitchen Operations:
* Take charge of a specific section and ensure smooth service during shifts.
* Prepare, cook, and present dishes to company standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
* Follow recipes accurately while also contributing ideas for new dishes and specials.
* Support other sections when required to maintain service flow.
Collaboration & Support:
* Work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and other team members to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
* Communicate effectively with FOH staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
* Assist with menu development and provide feedback on dish performance.
Stock & Organisation:
* Maintain stock control for your section, reporting shortages or issues to the Sous Chef.
* Ensure mise en place is prepared and organised before each service.
* Reduce food waste through proper storage, portioning, and stock rotation.
Compliance & Hygiene:
* Adhere to all food hygiene, health, and safety standards, including HACCP protocols.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in your section throughout service.
* Ensure allergen procedures are strictly followed.
Team Development:
* Support the training and development of Commis Chefs and junior staff.
* Act as a role model, promoting teamwork and a positive kitchen culture.
Provide feedback and guidance to help less experienced chefs improve.
