We’re supporting a values‑driven secondary school in Farnborough to appoint a full‑time Teacher of Science. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Science specialist with excellent behaviour management to join a collaborative department and deliver high‑impact learning across KS3–KS4. A specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics is welcome. The Role Teach engaging, challenging Science lessons across KS3–KS4, with a specialism in one discipline. Foster a sense of curiosity, “awe and wonder” and real‑world scientific thinking. Use assessment and data to plan targeted interventions and drive progress for all abilities. Uphold high expectations for conduct, routines and learning culture. Contribute to curriculum development, shared planning and enrichment (STEM clubs, trips, competitions). Support whole‑school initiatives, literacy/numeracy in Science, and a climate of continuous improvement. The Ideal Candidate You will: Hold QTS (or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge across KS3–KS4 Science. Demonstrate outstanding behaviour management and a calm, purposeful classroom. Deliver inclusive, inspiring lessons with clear explanations, modelling and practicals. Evidence raising achievement through effective planning, feedback and intervention. Communicate clearly with students, colleagues and parents/carers. Be reflective, team‑oriented and committed to ongoing CPD.
