Offer description

Shape the shift — keep our molding lines running flawlessly Your day starts at 1:30 pm on the production floor at Flexan, 500 Bond St, Lincolnshire, IL 60069. By the time most people are heading home, you’re gearing up equipment so our cleanroom operations can deliver. You’ll review the weekly build plan, execute material changeovers on liquid-injection (LSR) machines, set up molding machines, extruders, and auxiliary equipment, and verify every setting and document before the first part drops. What you’ll do Own end-to-end set-up on molding, extrusion, and support systems — including prescribed material changeovers on LSR units per the weekly schedule. Complete and maintain all setup/adjustment paperwork for tooling, machines, and auxiliaries with precision and traceability. Diagnose alarms and downtime fast: pinpoint root causes, make on-the-spot adjustments, and recommend tool or machine repairs. Launch formal root-cause investigations for significant maintenance events and share findings with the Maintenance Manager. Recommend reliability and maintainability improvements that lift uptime, reduce cost, and prevent repeat failures. Calibrate equipment so processes stay within defined standards and ranges. Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and megohmmeters to ensure compatibility and safety. Open and close maintenance work orders promptly; document best practices and handoffs for cross-shift continuity. Champion a safe, clean, and compliant workspace — from traceability and process control to cleanroom attire and contamination control. Model teamwork and professional communication with peers, leadership, and production teams while meeting Flexan quality and productivity targets.
