Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Manager or Senior Manager to join the Compliance department within a leading firm of chartered accountants and business advisors. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced and qualified audit manager who thrives on technical challenges and enjoys providing expert guidance on audit, financial reporting, and ethics.
About the Role
The successful candidate will contribute to audit quality control and provide technical support across various areas, including financial reporting and ethics.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist with technical queries related to audit, financial reporting, ethics, and specialist areas such as pensions, SAR, and FCA.
2. Conduct root cause analysis to resolve technical issues.
3. Research and summarise findings on complex technical matters.
4. Review changes to standards and communicate effectively across the firm.
5. Provide training on audit and financial reporting principles.
6. Assist in drafting procedures and policy documents.

* ACA / ACCA qualification (required)
* Practical audit experience, including audit file reviews
* Strong expertise in FRS 102 and IFRS
