Full-time | Bournemouth - hybrid - parking - temporary till end of July 2026 (possibly extended beyond this) We’re looking for a hands-on Content Marketing Coordinator to support the delivery of engaging, data‑driven content across our digital channels — from course pages and campaigns to social media, video and virtual experiences.
Working closely with our Content Marketing Manager, Content Marketing Officers and Creative teams, you’ll play a key role in shaping how BU is seen by future students, partners and our widermunity.
This role is perfect if you’re a strong all‑rounder: confident with words,fortable working across channels, and excited by creative storytelling in a fast‑paced environment.
What you’ll be doing
Create great content
1. Write, edit and optimise engaging content for web, social, campaigns and multimedia
2. Support integrated marketing and student recruitment campaigns
3. Produce simple visual and video content using tools like Canva, CapCut and Bynder
Keep content sharp, accurate andpliant
4. Ensure content meets BU brand guidelines, tone of voice and accessibility standards
5. Supportpliance with consumer protection legislation and CMA guidance
6. Act as a content contact for specific teams or subject areas
Manage channels and workflows
7. Publish and schedule content across digital platforms (including Hootsuite)
8. Manage content queues and ensure channels are accurate and up to date
9. Work with digital colleagues to optimise content within CMS guidelines
Use insight to improve
10. Track and analyse content performance
11. Apply insights to improve future campaigns and content effectiveness
Push ideas forward
12. Explore new formats, trends and creative approaches
13. Contribute ideas that help evolve BU’s content marketing approach
You’ll also support content coverage at key events, with some evening and weekend work when needed.What we’re looking for
Essential
14. Degree‑level education (or equivalent experience) in marketing,munications or a related field
15. Experience in content, digital or marketingmunications
16. Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with great attention to detail
17. Understanding of multi‑channel content, SEO and audience‑first storytelling
18. Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
19. Confidence working collaboratively with creatives and stakeholders
Desirable
20. Experience working with CMS platforms and social media scheduling tools
21. Basic image or video editing skills
22. Familiarity with accessibility standards and public‑sector content requirements
23. Interest in Higher Education and its opportunities and challenges
