The details of the job are below: Porter/Caretaker/Facilities Officer Hours: 37 hours rotating shift - Mon to Fri - 7am-3pm, 8am-5pm, and 2pm-10pmPay Rate: £18ph LtdLocation: SurreyDuration: 3 months on going contractEnhanced DBS Certificate required or would be prepared to undertake DBSFull Clean UK driving licence company vehicle provided covering 2 campus sitesAbout the role: Assist in the general upkeep of college buildings and groundsPerform routine maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.Monitor and report any repairs or maintenance issues to the Facilities TeamInspect and maintain fixtures and fittings within common areasEnsure agreed room layout plans are always provided as requestedSet up and dismantle furniture and equipment for college events, meetings, and activitiesAssist in the transportation of materials and supplies as requiredGreet and assist students, staff, and visitors in a friendly and professional mannerProvide information and directions as needed to enhance the campus experienceTo collect, deliver and accept internal and external mail and parcelsEnsure supplies including water, refreshment are adequately stocked and distributed.Ensure that all areas of the college are secure and safe for students and staffReport any incidents or safety hazards to the appropriate personnelPerform other duties as assigned by the facilities team Skill & Experience: Experience of working within a busy and demanding environmentPrevious experience in a caretaker or similar Porter or Facilities roleKnowledge of Health and Safety legislation / regulationsKnowledge of security systems and devicesKnowledge and understanding of Safeguarding considerations and the impact of these on facilities, security and site managementGood IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience of using online systems and databasesWorking understanding of COSHH regulations / principlesPhysical capability to perform manual tasks and requirements of roleAbility to work independently and as part of a team Morgan Hunt is a multi-award-winning recruitment Business for interim, contract and temporary recruitment and acts as an Employment Agency in relation to temporary vacancies.
