Job Title: Small Depot Operations Leader Location: Penrith Job Type: Permenant Overview: Unify are excited to be partnering with a leading construction plant hire business who are seeking a Small Depot Operations Leader to join their team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced operations professional to step into a key leadership position. You’ll be responsible for leading day-to-day depot operations, managing resources effectively and supporting field teams to meet customer demands. What do I need? * Strong background in plant hire, construction or heavy equipment operations. * Experience leading and motivating teams within a fast-paced environment. * Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. * Strong communication and relationship-building abilities. * Commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement. * Valid CPCS tickets and PTS Medical/SCM (or equivalent). * Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the plant sector. Responsibilities: * Oversee and coordinate large-scale projects, supporting operators and ensuring smooth execution. * Manage depot operations, including goods in/out, plant management and parts ordering. * Report plant damage, service issues and coordinate timely maintenance with mobile fitters. * Monitor depot performance, schedules and resource allocation to drive efficiency. * Provide inspirational leadership to depot teams, ensuring high standards are met consistently. * Ensure compliance with company processes, systems and invoicing accuracy. * Support and implement business initiatives and continuous improvement measures. * Build relationships with key customers, ensuring service excellence at every stage. * Work closely with sales teams to provide positive, solution-focused support to customer queries. * Champion HSQE standards across the depot to safeguard people and business interests. * Manage cost centre budgets and payroll expenditure effectively
