Job description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Teacher (QTS) to provide tailored tuition to students who are currently out of formal education. This role is ideal for experienced educators who wish to make a meaningful impact on students who require additional support due to special educational needs (SEN), exclusion, illness, or other circumstances preventing them from attending mainstream schooling.
As a QTS Tutor, you will work closely with students, parents, and local authorities to deliver high-quality, personalised education that fosters academic progress and confidence. This is a rewarding opportunity for educators looking to provide one-to-one or small group tuition in a flexible setting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-based lessons tailored to individual student needs.
2. Support students with gaps in learning, exam preparation, and confidence-building.
3. Develop and adapt resources to meet the unique requirements of each student.
4. Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, student achievements, and attendance.
5. Liaise with local authorities, parents, and other professionals to ensure students receive the necessary educational support.

7. Position – one to one tutor

13. Full time/part time – Part time and full time depending on availability
14. Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £25 per hour
15. Hours – Working hours can differentiate, minimum 1 hour per session and a maximum of 3 hours per session
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
16. QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
17. 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
18. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
19. Hold Right to Work in the UK
20. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
21. Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
