Buyer | Hybrid | Lancashire
We’re recruiting a Buyer to join a fast-growing business in Lancashire that’s scaling at pace. This is a hybrid role with 3 days on-site and 2 days from home, alongside flexible hours to support work–life balance.
The business has achieved 400% growth since 2023/24 and has a new site pending, creating genuine opportunities for progression and development. The salary for this role is up to £38,000, depending on experience.
The Role
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you’ll take ownership of supplier relationships, stock availability, and key commercial decisions across core product ranges.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing, rebates, and promotional support
2. Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships, ensuring early access to new products and innovation
3. Manage forecasting, ordering, and stock availability, targeting 97%+ availability
4. Monitor supplier performance using KPIs (OTIF, availability %, stock ageing) and present clear business cases
5. Proactively manage aged or slow-moving stock with creative, commercially sound solutions
