Majestic Wine Junior Copywriter will work within the Creative Team to write engaging content across all touchpoints of the business. The ideal candidate will bring fresh creative energy to the team, keeping a close eye on the wine world and current affairs to create relevant and engaging copy throughout all areas. You’ll be capable of balancing multiple projects, proactively managing your own time as well as working collaboratively, thriving in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines and taking accountability for your work.

* Location: Watford - Our Head Office is based in Watford, our Head Office is 15-minute walk from Watford Junction station.
* Reporting to: Content Manager
We are proud to offer an Agile Working Policy for Head Office colleagues; a blend of office and remote working which will include 3 days working at the Majestic Office each week.
Key Responsibilities
* Write content for each weeks 30+ marketing emails, amending where necessary after reviews.
* Write new copy for 5+ retail and commercial lines in like with the Majestic tone of voice, ensuring the content master files are updated.
* Write engaging copy for weekly social media posts across multiple channels.
* Work with the digital marketing and online team to produce search-engine-optimised copy, spanning blog articles, product-display and product-listing pages and web content.
* Write content for point-of-sale items, including posters, price tickets, marketing materials, etc.
* Write all non-product-related copy requested by the online team.
* Assist in getting error-free direct mail to print, writing copy where required.
* Work on creative ideas for new own-label wines, campaigns etc
* Take notes in any review meetings.
Knowledge & Skills Required
* A good command of the English language and a passion for learning are a must.
* Knowledge of wines, beer and spirits. WSET qualifications are a plus, but not essential.
* A degree in English, journalism, history, marketing or a humanities subject preferred, but not essential.
* Knowledge of search-engine optimisation, copywriting and advertising is a benefit.
* You will know your claret from your Cÿtes du Rhÿne and have a drive to learn about all things wines, beers and spirits-related.
