The Role
The Quality Technical Lead serves as a subject matter expert (SME) in Quality, providing critical support to both local and global projects that require specialized Quality input. This role involves close collaboration with project sponsors, stakeholders, and teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures.
The Quality Technical Lead is responsible for contributing to user requirements, managing change controls, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones. They also play a key role in communicating updates to Quality Management, identifying compliance risks, and supporting decision-making processes throughout the project lifecycle.
In addition to project support, the Quality Technical Lead is instrumental in implementing new or significantly revised processes within the Quality department. This includes defining project scopes, leading implementation efforts, developing training materials, updating SOPs, and ensuring business readiness. The role also encompasses facilitating risk assessments, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and providing expert Quality guidance across departments to maintain GxP compliance.
Strong communication skills are essential, as the Lead must regularly update management, represent the department during audits, and maintain professional relationships across internal and external stakeholders. Travel to other company sites may be required to support these responsibilities.
Key Requirements
* Have eligibility to work in the UK OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time employment in the UK
* Bachelors Degree (or equiv.)
* Involvement with projects involving personnel from other departments
* Managing multiple projects at one time
* Experience of presenting via MS Teams and in person - Including to Senior management
Further Information
This role is based on a full flex working pattern of 06:00 – 19:00 with a minimum 5 hours per day.
This role will also be eligible for hybrid working following the successful completion of probation.
The role will require occasional travel to other Almac sites, equipment vendor sites or client sites.
