Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Domestic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Care Home experience, ensuring that our care home is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation. This role requires attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Reporting to: Person in charge and Home Manager or their designate when absent
Main responsibilities
· Daily cleaning tasks as per cleaning schedules.
· Restock of toilet rolls, soap dispensers as needed.
· Shampoo of carpets as requested by the Housekeeper or the Person in Charge.
· Participate in Staff and Client meetings as required Training & Development:
· Attend mandatory training days/courses, on or off site, as and when required.
· Maintain professional knowledge and competence.
· Adhere to the Care Home's disposal of waste policy.
· Report immediately to the Home Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Client, colleague, self or another.
· Understand and ensure the implementation of the Care Home's Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures.
· Report to the Home Manager, or the Handyperson, any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment or any potential hazard.
· Promote safe working practice in the Care Home.
· Promote and ensure the good reputation of the Care Home.
· Ensure that all information of confidential nature gained in the course of duty is not divulged to third parties.
· Notify the Home Manager, or the Person in Charge, as soon as possible of your inability to report for duty, and also on your return to work from all periods of absence.
· Ensure the security of the Care Home is maintained at all times.
· Adhere to all Company policies and procedures within the defined timescales
· Ensure all equipment used by you is clean and well maintained.
· Carry out any other reasonable tasks that may be assigned to you from time to time.

Requirements
* Previous experience in care home roles is highly desirable.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
* Good communication skills and a friendly disposition when interacting with clients.
* Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks efficiently throughout the day.
