Smart Buildings Engineer Hybrid / Field Based (UK Travel) Up to £45,000 Company Van Benefits A specialist smart buildings integrator is looking to add a Service & Support Engineer to their growing team. This is a varied role combining remote support and on site engineering, working across high end commercial and residential environments. You will support lighting control and building systems for a portfolio of well known clients, ensuring systems remain fully operational and performing as expected. The Role This role is split between office and field work: * Around 30% providing 2nd line remote technical support * Around 70% attending client sites across the UK Responsibilities include: * Diagnosing and resolving faults on lighting control systems * Supporting DALI based systems in live environments * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance * Responding to reactive support requests in line with SLAs * Supporting KNX and wider building control systems * Producing service reports and technical documentation * Assisting with small works and system upgrades Travel is a key part of the role, including occasional overnight stays (around 20 to 25 per year). About You * Strong experience with DALI lighting control systems * Confident fault finding both remotely and on site * Good understanding of electrical systems and safe working practices * Experience working within service environments and SLAs * Professional and client facing communication skills * Full UK driving licence Desirable: * KNX experience * Basic networking knowledge such as IP addressing and switches * ECS or CSCS card * Experience within commercial environments such as hospitality, retail or healthcare Package * Salary up to £45,000 * Company van * Structured onboarding and ongoing training * Opportunity to gain certifications * Clear progression into senior or specialist roles * Exposure to high end, technically interesting projects * Stable, growing business Full company details will be shared with shortlisted applicants.
