Instarmac is a multi award-winning market-leading company. A specialist in the manufacture and distribution of cement and bitumen based products to the world markets for over 40 years.
The Company operates a 24 hour production facility between Monday to Friday each week and works on shift patterns (Days and Nights).
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Production Team. We are looking for a Production Operative, working Monday to Friday.

Duties
* Manufacture products on a Right First Time basis whilst following company procedures and observing all Health and Safety requirements.
* To demonstrate flexibility with regard to operational requirements of the business.
* Ensure the safety of yourself and others whilst carrying out your duties.
* Carry out housekeeping activities within timescales relevant to each specific area.
* To maintain expected cleaning and housekeeping standards of all production areas worked in.
* Work to 5S standards and promote 5S standards to other colleagues.
* Identify and inform the management team of quality and maintenance issues when they arise.
* To strive towards continuous improvement in all activities undertaken.
* To complete vocational and skills based training as required.
* Completion of production related administration as required.
* Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
* Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others
* Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner
* Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency
* Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value
* Promote good working relationships as an integral part of the team
Requirements
* Ability to plan, organise and anticipate demands relating to works tasks, materials, packaging requirements to optimise production line delivery and to optimise efficiencies.
* Self-sufficient, able to work well on own initiative and proactively solves problems to deliver targets.
* Good communication skills and is able to follow instructions and keep production line paperwork up to date.
* Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality/standards.
* Work in a safe manner and comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
* Ability to demonstrate 'right first time' and 5S methodology and standards to drive continuous improvements
* Good level of general education
