Job Description
A number of exciting opportunities have arisen to join our client, a world-leading global aerospace manufacturing organization in Belfast, as a Supply Chain Planner/Buyer. These roles are full-time, 3-month temporary positions with an immediate start. The salary ranges from £39,931.32 to £44,160.48 per annum, pro-rata, which is equivalent to approximately £21.33 per hour, based on a 36-hour week, working Monday to Thursday from 8:15 am to 4:45 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm (start/stop times may vary slightly). While this is a temporary position, there may be permanent opportunities later in the year based on business requirements.
Purpose of the Job
To be responsible for planning and managing all transactional elements of parts supply, including internal and external customers, to ensure that the master schedule is achieved, maintained, and that assets are optimally utilized.
Responsibilities
* Management of internal and external supply to meet schedule.
* Vendor management to ensure on-time delivery (OTD).
* Maintain operational systems with high data accuracy.
* Parameter management to ensure optimum asset utilization.
* Provide visibility and analysis of capacity/load.
* Management of accounts payable (AP) issues.
* Harmonize delinquent supply with a focus on risk mitigation.
* Implement smooth and cost-effective change management with minimal impact.
* Work within and support a natural team environment.
* Provide and analyze forward load and capacity plans to ensure success.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must provide sufficient detail on their application form to demonstrate how they meet the essential criteria, as this will be used for vetting purposes. Candidates must possess a minimum of an HNC or a relevant professional qualification (e.g., CPIM, CIPS) and have at least 2 years of relevant experience within Supply Chain. Candidates with lesser qualifications but at least 3 years of relevant experience will also be considered. Knowledge and experience of MRP planning systems are essential. Candidates should also have a basic working knowledge of related procurement processes.
