Fitters Required - Coalville
Pay: Up to 15.00 per hour depending on experience
Temporary, temp-to-perm or permanent opportunities available
Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 07:30 to 16:30
Friday: 07:30 to 12:30
I'm currently recruiting for multiple experienced Fitters to support an upcoming project with a busy and well-established manufacturing business based in Coalville.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical fitting experience who is confident working in an engineering, manufacturing or heavy machinery environment.
Responsibilities
* Mechanical fitting of heavy machinery and equipment
* Working within a production line environment
* Reading and understanding bespoke engineering drawings
* Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
* Working with hydraulics and mechanical components
* Working to tight tolerances, limits and fits
* Supporting the safe movement of production parts
* Meeting production targets while maintaining quality standards
* Following health and safety guidelines at all times
Ideal Candidate
* Previous mechanical fitting experience
* Experience working with hydraulics
* Experience within engineering, manufacturing, plant, machinery or heavy equipment
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
* Experience using hand and power tools
* Good mechanical skills and problem‑solving ability
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Good communication skills
* Strong health and safety awareness
Experience with crushing equipment, screening equipment, plant machinery, agricultural machinery, construction equipment or similar heavy machinery would be a strong advantage.
Experience operating overhead cranes or jib cranes would also be beneficial.
An understanding of lean manufacturing principles or 5S would be advantageous but is not essential.
