Job Overview

We have an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and forward-thinking occupational therapist to join our well-established Occupational Therapy Team within the Forensics Service as a team leader.

This post holder will provide clinical and professional leadership and be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the team. A clear understanding of the role and opportunities for Occupational Therapy in inpatient settings is essential.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated, compassionate leader with demonstrable experience within community or inpatient services. You must be able to demonstrate highly specialist clinical, managerial, and leadership skills, with excellent organisational and time management skills to manage a clinical caseload and team leader responsibilities.

You will be able to initiate and implement service changes while supporting the development of the team through supervision and appraisal. Excellent communication skills are required to forge effective working relationships, challenge current practice, and develop innovative solutions to improve patient outcomes.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
