About This Role
As a prospective member of our On‑Platform Advertisement team—akin to Google Ads within JET—you will join a dynamic, cross‑functional group of .NET, web (React/Vue), and Android specialists. We’re seeking an iOS engineer to enhance our team. Your role will foster communication and collaboration with product owners, delivery managers, UX designers, and both client and server‑side engineers, brainstorming and implementing new features, improving performance, streamlining platforms, and crafting stunning interfaces for our iOS application.
Location: Hybrid – 3 days a week from the London office, 2 days working from home.
Reporting to: Technology Manager
Key Components to the Position (Responsibilities)
* Master the craft of writing high‑quality, thoroughly tested code within a large team and maintain an excellent codebase.
* Lead projects, mentor peers, and collaborate effectively, introducing innovative ideas and developing robust code.
* Adhere to and help refine the team's standards and processes, contributing to continuous improvement.
* Pursue ongoing personal development by learning from teammates and applying new knowledge to benefit the team and enhance the app.
* Communicate the technical efforts of your team to other engineering groups.
* Own updates from development through to successful production performance.
* Regularly release updates to the App Store (approximately every two weeks) and oversee changes to ensure optimal user experience.
* Review and approve your team's code changes once automated tests pass.
* Generate and implement creative ideas to improve the app.
What will you bring to the team? (Qualifications)
* Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI for iOS development.
* Experience with integration, unit, and UI tests to ensure application robustness.
* Deep knowledge of the iOS ecosystem.
* Familiarity with architectural patterns such as MVP, MVVM, and MVC.
* Strong capability in continuous integration practices and tools.
* Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, especially Git.
* Skill in writing clean, isolated, reusable components for software development.
* Proficiency in using RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to backend services.
* Experience in enterprise tools and CI systems tailored to iOS development.
* Proactivity in sharing and seeking out information.
* Strong ability for giving and receiving feedback.
* Attention to detail and pragmatic approach when needed.
* Understanding of code design for efficiency and readability.
* Commitment to writing tests as a definition of done.
