Dispute Resolution Solicitor – Edinburgh (Assignment 16075)
We have been instructed on a new Litigation role with our client, an independent Scottish Law firm. The firm is currently seeking an ambitious Lawyer to join its busy Dispute Resolution Team in Edinburgh.
The successful candidate will become part of a friendly team who handle a diverse range of commercial dispute matters across various areas including insolvency (personal and corporate) matters, contentious IP, and group litigation. Key responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing expense accounts, securing decrees, and advancing diligence when necessary.
2. Assisting in providing top-tier legal services while pinpointing chances for cross-selling.
3. Managing individual litigation cases, advocating for clients in court or tribunals, and offering legal counsel and research.
4. Drafting a variety of court documents including initial writs, summary applications, and motions.
The team is keen to hear from candidates at the NQ-5 level PQE with a good understanding of the litigation process.
Rural Property – Aberdeen/Edinburgh (Assignment 16060)
Our client, a leading Scottish-headquartered UK law firm, is seeking an additional lawyer to join its busy Rural Team. This position can be based in either the firms’ Aberdeen or Edinburgh office.
The purpose of the role is to provide professional legal services to an array of clients of the firm. This will include advising landlords and tenants on agricultural tenancies, dealing with renewable energy developments, as well as handling the sale and purchase of farms, estates, and forestry, and partnership matters.
Applicants should be qualified to practice in Scotland. Rural property experience is desirable but not essential, however, the candidate must have some property law experience.
Civil Court Solicitor – Falkirk/Alloa (Assignment 16036)
Exciting opportunity available with our client, a Scottish Law Firm, for a newly qualified Litigation Lawyer. The role’s main aim is to support the Civil Court department, handling fee-earning tasks competently and efficiently, providing efficient service to clients, representing the Firm professionally, and maximizing fee income.
Main responsibilities will include:
5. Supporting the delivery of high-quality legal services and identifying opportunities for cross-selling.
6. Managing expense accounts, obtaining decrees, and progressing diligence as needed.
7. Handling own litigation cases, representing clients in court or tribunals, and providing legal advice and research.
8. Drafting various court documents such as initial writs, summary applications, and motions.
9. Ensuring timely service of court documents and lodging them with the court.
10. Conducting precognitions and taking statements from clients or witnesses.
The firm is keen to speak with newly qualified Lawyers with experience of litigation. The firm is open to location and the role can be based in either its Falkirk or Alloa office.
Private Client Solicitor – Aberdeen (Assignment 16073)
Our client, a successful law firm which is one of the largest in Northeast Scotland, is currently recruiting a Lawyer to join its Private Client Team in Aberdeen. This position has arisen due to an increase in workload, and the firm is keen to speak with ambitious individuals at the NQ-5 PQE level.
The work will be engaging and will involve all aspects of private client matters including powers of attorney, executry estates, wills, wealth planning, tax and asset protection. The ideal candidate should possess prior experience in this field, along with a compassionate and empathetic demeanour.
This role presents the opportunity to work within a friendly and supportive environment with hybrid working options available for all staff members. There is also scope for career progression.
Corporate Solicitor – Glasgow (Assignment 16082)
An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client, a well-established Scottish Law Firm in Glasgow that specialises in a variety of services including corporate law, family law and employment law. The firm is currently seeking a junior Lawyer to join its highly regarded Corporate Team.
The role’s objective is to offer support to partners on diverse corporate matters, including commercial contracts, banking securities, IP/IT, and mergers and acquisitions. The intention is for this role to span across two teams in Glasgow.
To be considered for this role, you should be a newly qualified lawyer to 2/3 years’ PQE and ideally have completed a seat in corporate in your traineeship and/or possess some post-qualifying corporate experience.
This role offers a great chance to form connections within this framework, helping to progress in areas of expertise. General and tailored training will be provided to support growth.
