Job Description
Please note that this is a part-time, term-time position. Your salary will be pro-rata based on hours and weeks worked.
If you start during the normal school session, an adjustment will be made to reduce your first pay, as you are not entitled to be paid for all holidays. After this adjustment, you will receive one twelfth of your annual salary each month.
You will receive an email from our payroll department before your first pay informing you of any deductions.
If you start on the first day of term, this adjustment will not apply to you.
Learning Assistants collaborate as part of the school team or specialist educational service, working under the direction of the Head Teacher or designated supervisor to promote effective learning, teaching, personal development, health, well-being, and a positive achievement atmosphere.
They support teachers in resource use, promote teaching and learning, and contribute to raising attainment. They also assist in supervising, ensuring safety, and caring for pupils, including those with additional support needs arising from behavioral, learning, sensory, or physical impairments, or family circumstances.
Learning Assistants work with pupils individually or in groups across different settings, requiring flexibility based on the school's needs.
