We have an exciting role on offer within our ICT service as a Deputy Head of ICT and Digital. We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking ICT leader to join us as Deputy Head of ICT & Digital, helping shape and deliver modern, secure and high-performing digital services for Middlesbrough Council. This senior role provides leadership across all ICT operational areas, including the Service Desk, Device Services, Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Applications, Networks and Cloud Services. You will strengthen operational governance, documentation management, compliance and service performance, ensuring our technology services are resilient, reliable and customer-focused. You will also lead our team of Project Managers, ensuring digital projects are well-governed, aligned to strategic priorities and successfully transitioned into business-as-usual. The role plays a key part in supporting the Council’s modern workplace, Microsoft 365, automation and cloud transformation programmes. We are seeking a collaborative, people-focused leader with strong operational ICT experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers and senior stakeholders. You will help drive continuous improvement, enhance service maturity and reduce organisational risk across our ICT estate.
