Overview
The purpose of this role is to participate in the aseptic dispensing of chemotherapy, monoclonal antibodies, parenteral nutrition and radiopharmaceuticals. The post holder will assemble ingredients for items to be made according to the worksheet and SOPs, note batch numbers and expiry dates, and check for particles, discolouration or breakages. They will generate worksheets and labels according to SOPs and prescriptions and carry out Pre and In-Process Checks (PIPC) on assembled items and accuracy checks during preparation of products, having undergone appropriate training and achieved the required level of competence (PIPC course). They will participate in the examination of environmental monitoring media and recording of results.
Responsibilities
