Job Description
Being part of the E2E piping Engineering organisation, the main objective of the role is to ensure connection between the contractors and the client, particularly on the assessment of site requests. The main purpose is to ensure the FCR/NCR production of the contract is sufficient to allow quick treatment and feedback, enabling construction activities to proceed on time.
The MEH programme is transitioning to a new delivery phase with bulk installation starting in 2024, shifting focus from design and manufacturing to construction delivery. The 'Piping Engineering Construction - Site Coordinator' reports functionally to the 'BNI BOP Piping Engineering Construction Lead'.
The current team comprises 8 engineers, with plans to expand based on workload, involving operational leadership of a matrixed team. As a front-line site delivery role, flexibility and working under schedule pressures are essential to resolve technical issues promptly, ensuring continuity for installation teams.
The role is part of a broader team reporting to the BNI & BOP Piping Engineering Manager, responsible for the entire piping scope lifecycle. The Site Coordinator collaborates closely with other engineering disciplines and the construction team, acting as the interface between engineering and construction.
Team sizes include approximately 120 engineers in the End to End Engineering team, 40 in the Piping Engineering team, and 8 in the Piping Construction Engineering team, with growth planned. Budget management involves efficient resource allocation within a defined budget.
Key responsibilities include:
* Reviewing FCR and NCR content from the construction team, ensuring clarity, sufficient information, and relevant details.
* Assessing proposed remediation plans, ensuring relevance and achievability, and proposing delegation levels for FCR/NCR treatment.
* Maintaining regular contact with the construction team to review trends, propose mitigations, and develop KPIs for FCR/NCR throughput.
* Coordinating communication between the construction team and Front Office (JDO), providing necessary information and details.
* Providing technical support to unblock construction activities and resolve technical queries raised by the contractor.

Essential knowledge includes:
* Experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
* Meticulous and rigorous engineering approach.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
