Are you looking for a career working in a trade environment? Do you want to earn while you learn and be part of a customer-focused team delivering an outstanding repairs and maintenance service across East Anglia? Our Apprentice Electrician position could be for you! By joining our team as an Apprentice Electrician, you will attend college and work alongside our experienced electricians to gain a Level 3 qualification in electrical installation and maintenance. Working alongside a mentor, you will have lots of opportunities to learn, develop your skills, and gain practical experience. This position requires you to work 40 hours per week, on-site from 8am until 5pm Monday to Thursday and 2.30pm on Friday when not attending college. We need you to commit to studying for at least 20% of working hours, completing coursework on time and to a high standard, and passing assessments during and at the end of the apprenticeship. This course run for 4 years before you are fully qualified. Please note that the first 26 weeks of this role will be solely based at college, after this you will be required on site 4 days a week and 1 day at college in person. This course is hosted by Swarm based in Norwich. The ideal candidate will have: GCSE Maths – Level 4 (Grade C) or above GCSE English – Level 4 (Grade C) or above Full UK driving licence required, or willingness to work towards one within your first year. You will need to travel to work and Swarm (Norwich) in the meantime if you do not hold a licence when you start. Enthusiasm to learn and drive to achieve results to a high standard Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team Strong communication skills and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service Competence in Microsoft applications such as Outlook and Teams Desire to work within the Electrical trade field. Carry out electrical installation works and electrical-related repairs and maintenance on Flagship properties Support other trades and colleagues across the business as required Work efficiently and safely, striving to minimise waste Use various tools and equipment to perform tasks such as inspecting, testing, repairing, installing, and modifying electrical components and systems Work with schedules of rates to assess the work content of jobs and complete estimates, ensuring all work is completed to the required standard first time round Important Dates Assessment Day: 11th June 2025 Final Interview: 25th June 2025 & 2nd July 2025 For a detailed description of responsibilities and requirements, please click here for access to the "Part I Play" Statement.
