Adaptable Recruitment are excited to be working with a high profile organisation in Liverpool who is looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join their team on a fixed term basis for a period of 18 months.Salary and BenefitsUp to £35000 per annum25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays with the option to buy an additional 5 days35 hours a week ( 9-5 with an hour for lunch )Hybrid working model in placeAdditional perks on offerKey ResponsibilitiesManage the sales ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of customer accountsChase outstanding invoices in a professional and consistent mannerMaintain accurate records of all customer communications and payment agreementsAllocate and post customer receipts to the correct accountsSupport sales ledger posting including invoices, credit notes, and adjustmentsInvestigate and resolve invoice queries and disputes with customers and internal teamsReconcile customer accounts and ensure balances are accurateProduce aged debt reports and provide updates on overdue accountsSupport with monthly debtors review meetings for various departments within the businessWork closely with internal teams to resolve billing issues quicklyAssist with month-end finance processes where requiredExperience RequiredProven experience working in a Senior Credit Control role (5+ years in credit control)Experience working within a high-volume sales ledger environmentComfortable using finance systems and accounting softwareExperience posting invoices, payments, and credit notesStrong understanding of credit control processes and debtor managementSkills & AttributesExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication skills when dealing with customersGood organisation and time managementConfident using finance systems and Microsoft ExcelAbility to prioritise workload and manage multiple accountsProfessional and confident approach when handling payment discussionsDesirable (but not essential)Proven experience working in an Accounts Receivable rolePrevious experience in a commercial or service-based businessExperience managing challenging stakeholders / sensitive situationsExperience supporting junior team membersTPBN1_UKTJ
