As a result, alongside several consortium partners, Balfour Beatty has been selected by BP (British Petroleum) to construct a first-of-a-kind fully integrated gas-fired power station with carbon capture and storage. This project is a key driver behind plans to make Teesside the UK’s first decarbonised industrial cluster.
Balfour Beatty is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Engineering Surveyor to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside project based at our new site in Redcar and Cleveland.
What you'll be doing
* Manage site records of all survey-related tasks
* Manage and coordinate site team survey activities
* Manage inventory of survey equipment and ensure consumables are accurately maintained
* Delegate for survey manager when they are not present on site
* Attend design and construction engineering meetings and participate in design reviews
* Be accountable for survey team output and performance
Who we're looking for
* Ability to work collaboratively with all teams
* Extensive experience in design, construction, and surveying within a construction environment
* Proficiency in GPS and survey applications
* Experience in organizing and managing site survey teams
* Knowledge of and ability to check design deliverables in various digital formats
* Experience with settlement monitoring systems, methods, and technologies
* Understanding of geodetic requirements related to project needs
* Experience using the latest survey equipment, software, and technologies
* Experience in establishing GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) networks
