The successful candidate will cover the Highland geographical area including, Fort William, Lochaber & Caithness, working under the Woman and Child Division, line managed by the Community Children's Nursing (CCN)Team.
We are seeking a suitably experienced registered paediatric nurse who is enthusiastic, motivated and committed to working with children and young people with acute/chronic/complex health needs in the community setting. You must have significant post registration experience.
You must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. The work will involve delivering and facilitating high quality nursing care to children, teaching the child or their parents/carers the skills necessary to enable them to care for their child at home and in the school/nursery setting. You must be able to act as a key worker, lead professional and specialist resource, and to deputise for the team leader when required.
You will be supported by the CCN Team through line management and supervision, and you must be willing to undertake development and educational activities as required.
The postholder needs to have the ability to work flexibly which might include working outside normal working hours according to the changing needs of the service but currently the CCN team provide a Monday-Friday 8-5pm service. The appointed person must hold a full, valid driving licence and have use of a car.
