We are currently seeking a Configuration Engineer to join the team at the Sizewell C project.
This is a contract role expected to last until the end of December, with potential for extension and long-term engagement.
Role Overview
As a Configuration Engineer, you will engage with various stakeholders to ensure awareness and implementation of Configuration Management across the project. You will address emerging risks, support pragmatic solutions, and simplify complexities to facilitate optimal decision-making. Collaborating with different teams, you will help shape the project's technical baseline and improve decision visibility, playing a pivotal role in the project's success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the execution of the Overarching Configuration Management Plan, ensuring tailored application to the programme scope and integration with other plans.
2. Implement and enhance Configuration Management arrangements, including standards, procedures, and tools; review and author relevant documents; support self-assessments.
3. Identify, record, and link configuration items using established criteria.
4. Engage with stakeholders to establish configuration baselines, manage changes, maintain records, produce status reports, and plan audits.
5. Administer change control procedures, ensuring proper registration, recording, and governance of configuration changes.
6. Prepare Configuration Status Reports to aid management decisions, summarizing configurations, changes, and audit outcomes.
7. Provide training on Configuration Management procedures and responsibilities.
8. Participate in Engineering Data and Information Management activities to specify and verify CM system requirements, ensuring tools support CM activities effectively.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
* Experience in configuration or engineering management.
Desirable
* Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
* Experience in large multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
* Previous work on HPC or other EPR projects.
* Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools.
* Knowledge of industry guidance on CM topics.
* CM certification (CM2) or equivalent industry certification.
