Your Role
As an Apprentice Refrigeration Engineer, you will:
* Develop expertise in HVAC systems, preparing you to become a fully qualified Service Technician.
* Receive mentorship from experienced professionals while working with cutting-edge technology.
* Regularly attend the College of NW London to study for a Level 3 Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps qualification.
* Engage in hands-on work with water chillers and commercial/industrial heat pumps.
* Participate in customer site visits, shadowing qualified Technicians.
* Learn about refrigeration and air conditioning systems, fans, and air handling equipment.
* Assist in installing full HVAC solutions, including temporary hoses, cables, and ancillaries.
* Troubleshoot and support technically challenging breakdowns, both in person and remotely.
* Work on electrical power supplies, control panels, pumps, and water hydraulics.
* Explore digital control systems and basic Building Management Systems (BMS).
What We’re Looking For
* Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English, Science, Maths, and ICT OR Engineering.
* A full UK driving licence.
* A keen learner who is eager to ask questions and get involved.
* Good written English and an interest in engineering and heating systems.
* Passion for low-carbon technologies, such as heat pumps.
* Strong problem-solving skills, confidence, and excellent communication abilities.
* Basic computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
