In this role, you will be part of our Lancashire Young People Supported Accommodation Services, assisting 18 young individuals (aged 16-21) across two locations in Chorley—Parker House and The Bridge—who are facing homelessness, leaving care, or are at risk.
Your Responsibilities
As a Youth Support Worker, you will:
* Utilize your knowledge and experience to support young people with complex needs, including those facing homelessness and transitioning from care.
* Empower young individuals to maximize their benefits and develop independent living skills.
* Promote health, well-being, and healthy lifestyle choices.
* Encourage involvement in local training, education, and employment opportunities.
Are You the Right Fit?
We are looking for a candidate who:
* Holds an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Youth/Social Work.
* Has a solid understanding of homelessness and its impact on young people's well-being.
* Is experienced in support planning and motivating young people to engage in education, training, and employment.
* Can work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, while managing a caseload effectively.
