About us
Wolverhampton Vets4pets is a stand-alone practice in a purpose-built building, open for over 10 years with more than 4,000 active registered clients. The practice is on the west side of Wolverhampton, within 5 minutes’ drive of the countryside and the Severn River Valley, offering city amenities with nearby peaceful villages.
The practice is owned and run locally by Mark Smith, who has 30 years’ experience as a referral surgeon in Surgery and diagnostic imaging. Mark provides a referral service to local vets4pets in orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery and ultrasound, and travels to other practices once a week to perform surgeries such as TPLO and BOAS procedures. He supports the team and helps with a varied case load.
The practice has 3 full-time consulting rooms, a prep room, dedicated X-ray room with high-powered HF X-ray machine and bucky table, digital X-ray processor, ultrasound with abdominal and cardiac packages, separate cat and dog wards, a dedicated isolation unit, and a full lab for biochemistry and hematology, microscopy, and snap tests. We have full orthopaedic and soft tissue instrumentation and a large practice library of textbooks. Upstairs there is a staff kitchen, an office, and a large library for the team.
