Overview
Opportunity for a Practice Nurse to work on a Locum Full Time Contract, based in Liverpool. The role is based within the GP Practice with responsibility to provide leadership to junior members of the Practice Nursing Team, in collaboration with the Nurse Lead and General Practitioners, to develop an effective, quality-driven Practice Nurse Service. You will promote integrated nursing practice within the wider nursing team (Practice Nurses, District Nurses and Health Visitors) underpinned by the development of evidence-based practice guidelines, for shared delivery of care to the whole practice population. You will also ensure clinical effectiveness by monitoring key quality markers related to guidelines. You will attend to patients who wish to be seen by a health care professional, seeing and advising people regarding their continuing medical and nursing needs. These patients will have booked appointments but may also require extra or emergency care.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership to junior members of the Practice Nursing Team in collaboration with the Nurse Lead and GPs.
* Promote and implement evidence-based practice guidelines for shared care across the practice.
* Support integration of nursing practice within the wider nursing team (Practice Nurses, District Nurses, Health Visitors).
* Monitor clinical effectiveness by tracking key quality markers.
* See patients as needed, including those with continuing medical and nursing needs, during booked appointments and emergencies.
