We are currently recruiting for a Head of Sales to join the Midlands region.
As Head of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective regional sales strategy, managing Business Development Managers & Internal Sales Managers, and ensuring robust and consistent sales processes. You will lead a motivated sales team focused on delivering maximum revenue.
This role requires an experienced sales leader who can demonstrate passion, confidence, credibility, and focus in leading their teams.
The ideal candidate will have proven success in managing regional sales teams, experience influencing and building relationships with senior management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate strategic vision into practical action.

Responsibilities include:
1. Developing and maintaining customer relationships to win business for Nationwide Platforms.
2. Identifying and progressing opportunities for new lines of business, including new growth sectors and customers, in line with the business development strategy.
3. Contributing to the team’s budget process.
4. Managing a team of sector specialists, using measurement tools to ensure performance improvement.
5. Overseeing the regional sales team in managing key ‘mixed’ accounts.
6. Acting as liaison between the UK Business Unit and BlueSky, addressing delivery, new product, supply issues, and ensuring communication with relevant parties.
7. Negotiating and managing contracts at all levels for mutual benefit.
8. Collaborating with other Nationwide Platforms functions to support business development.
9. Managing risk for key accounts.
Ideal candidate will have:
* Extensive experience in strategic sales management within plant and/or equipment hire environments.
* Excellent analytical skills and data-driven decision-making ability.
* Strong prioritization and deadline management skills.
* Effective communication skills for all organizational levels.
